Does someone have to be at the uplift and delivery?

YES. You or an authorized representative needs to be at both the uplift and delivery of your belongings. The designated representative needs to be present to instruct the men on the placement of the furniture and effects in your new home and to sign off on all paperwork.


Will Coffs Harbour Relocations & Storage disassemble and reassemble any of my furniture during my relocation?

The Coffs Harbour Relocations & Storage crew will disassemble and reassemble your beds for your move. However, it is the responsibility of the client to have swing sets, trampolines and the like already disassembled for the relocation and also to reassemble the same after the move.


What should I do if I have more or less furniture than what was quoted on?

Please contact your Coffs Harbour Relocations & Storage consultant and we will revise your quote if need be.


If Coffs Harbour Relocations & Storage has not quoted to pack, where do I start?

Coffs Harbour Relocations & Storage can provide you with packing materials for your relocation or you can get your own materials. You will need strong clean uniform sized cartons, white paper (newspaper leaves the print on your china etc and makes for a lot more work in the long run). Tape, be careful when using some tapes as they can rip varnish off furniture or leave sections of unwanted sticky glue on precious items, or they simply will not hold the cartons together. Marking pens to indicate the contents of each box and the room they came from.


How long can I store my household effects for?

Coffs Harbour Relocations & Storage can provide storage for as long as you require, we have short and long term storage available.


What about my valuables such as jewellery and stamp collections?

These items are your own responsibility and are excluded from transit insurance cover. You are required to transport all valuables in the way of jewellery, stamp collections, money, cheque books and keys with you personally.

Can I move my pot plants?

Yes, Coffs Harbour Relocations & Storage can move your pot plants although we are not designated plant movers and cannot guarantee their survival in the back of a hot removal van. Having said that we do take all due care and precaution with the relocation of plants. There are strict Quarantine regulations in Australia and it may be wise to check with your new state or town, as plants can be prohibited in some parts. Plants are not to be relocated overseas.


What items are you unable to move?

The following are considered to be dangerous goods and therefore are not within the boundaries of relocatable items by Coffs Harbour Relocations & Storage:

Can I move firearms?

Under Australian Law, we are unable to transport firearms for domestic relocations. It would be wise to speak to your local law enforcement center for advice on the responsible relocation of your firearms.


What items cannot be moved locally or within Australia?

In addition to the dangerous goods listed above, it is prohibited to transport explosives, ammunition and toxic materials. Coffs Harbour Relocations & Storage will not transport jewellery, money, stamp collections and the like.


How long is my quotation valid for?

Coffs Harbour Relocations & Storage quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue and the work is to commence within 90 days from the date of acceptance.
